Sainik Aramghar / Indian Army holiday homes/ Holiday Homes For Indian Defence Personnel
There are about 20 lacs Ex-Servicemen and 4 lacs widows exist across the country as per the latest record available. These Ex-Servicemen community whenever they visit their respective Zila Sainik Board/Rajya Sainik Board for various purposes such as, resettlement problems, medical treatment, legal, pension, availing canteen facilities etc and other important town/cities for medical treatment orpilgrimage/sight seeing etc, they need a decent and affordable accommodation to stay for short duration. For this purpose, a large number of Sainik Rest houses are constructed at various places throughout the country. These Rest Houses are being maintained by the concerned Rajya/Zila Sainik Boards.
