The eligibility criteria for issuing Dependent I-cards to dependents of serving personnel (Officers & Sailors) are amended as follows: –
1. Dependents parents whose monthly income from all sources does not exceed Rs 9,000/- plus the amount of dearness relief on basic pension of Rs 9,000/- as on date of consideration {GOI MOD letter No. 18840/DGAFMS/DG- 3A/1662/1/D(Medical) dated 04 Sep 17}.
2. Children including step children, legally adopted children, Unemployed/ unmarried/ divorced/ widowed daughters will be eligible irrespective of age. Sons of serving personnel, irrespective of age, will be dependent, until married or employed, whichever is earlier.
3. Navy Order 01/11 will be amended accordingly.
