CSD Monthly limits for sale of Grocery and AFD Cat of Goods was laid to ex budgetary control and restrict CSD facilities to max, genuine beneficiaries. This control was being exercised with ref to two parameters at the CSD HO and the SCPL through CIMS Software. While CSD HO restricted sales of 452 items on a ‘Restriction List’, SCPL categorized all items (Incl some in Grocery) In excess of Rs 2,000/- as part of AFD 2 items.
This invariably led to dilution of annual monetary capacities and customer dissatisfaction. Based on feedback from the envt, availability of high end (like computers, Smart Phones) and utility Items (plastic furniture etc), there Is a need to review the same. Certain Items need to be added/ deleted from these lists. In view of the foregoing, revised instructions on the subject are enumerated in the succeeding paras.
