Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) for the Panel Year 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of RBI at www.rbi.org.in.
The selection process will involve a country-wide competitive online examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). 2. Application Fee
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode only (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, etc.).
- SC / ST / PwBD / EXS: ₹50/- + 18% GST (Intimation Charges)
- General / OBC / EWS: ₹450/- + 18% GST (Exam Fee + Intimation Charges)
- Staff Candidates: Exempted from fee.

4. Eligibility Criteria (As on 01/04/2026)
A. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD (GEN/EWS). Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per service rendered + 3 years (Max 50 years).
B. Educational Qualification
- JE (Civil): Minimum 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR a Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- JE (Electrical): Minimum 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR a Degree in these fields with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
C. Required Experience
- For Diploma Holders: Minimum 2 years of experience.
- For Degree Holders: Minimum 1 year of experience.
(Experience must be in execution/supervision of construction/maintenance of buildings or electrical installations as specified in the notice).
5. Salary and Pay Scale
The RBI offers an attractive salary package for Junior Engineers.
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹47,700/- per month (₹29,000/- plus 9 advance increments).
- Gross Emoluments: Lagbhag ₹91,309/- per month.
- HRA: Agar Bank accommodation nahi milta, to 15% House Rent Allowance alag se diya jayega.
6. Exam Pattern (Online Objective Test)
The exam will consist of 300 marks to be completed in 150 minutes.
